The pressed sugar beet pulp is fed to the Saxlund truck loading silo by belt conveyor. The silo is equipped with the patented Saxlund Twin Element Sliding Frame Machine. Both the silo and Sliding Frame were manufactured from stainless steel. The Sliding Frame moves the material over the discharge screw which feeds it, in a metered fashion, to the truck stationed below. The discharge outlet has been fitted with a slide gate valve to stop the flow of material when necessary.
