Lagoon Ash Reception Bunker with Push Floor Discharger - Castle Cement

Saxlund International won the contract to supply this Reception Bunker for the Ribblesdale Cement Works in Yorkshire.

Case study

Castle Cement - Ribblesdale PFA

PFA Reception Bunker with Push Floor Discharge Machine.

Saxlund International won the contract to supply this PFA (Pulverised Furnace Ash) Reception Bunker for the Ribblesdale Cement Works in Yorkshire.

The PFA is unloaded by front loaders into the Reception bunker and then discharged onto a Saxlund supplied weigh conveyor by the Saxlund Push Floor machine. The Push Floor machine discharge rate is controlled via feedback from the weigh conveyor.

The PFA Reception Bunker had to be designed to fit in a tight space within an existing building, so the space-efficient Push Floor machine and Bunker was the ideal choice for this difficult to handle material. The control panel for this system was also within our scope.
