Complete power station handling system

Saxlund is able to deliver complete materials handling systems for biomass combustion plants for small 1MWe systems through to 50MWe+ dedicated BioEnergy and Waste to Energy (WtE) plants.

How it works

Using the wide portfolio of Saxlund products, we are able to develop robust systems to your requirements, from intake and conveying systems to the reliable fuel reclaim and boiler feed systems.

Our Engineering teams work with the client to develop thier projects from first principles, through to installation and commissioning. Saxlund are the perfect delivery partner for complex projects.

Typical Applications

  • Push Floor Reception /Storage/ Reclaim System
Typical solution for a small to medium sized Power Plant. Fuel is stored either outside or in a storage hall, and is fed when required onto a Push Floor Fuel Reclaimer that feeds a screening system before feeding the boiler. The Push Floor is typically sized to provide 12 hours of live fuel storage, however, can be much larger depending on the clients requirements.
  • SAX-TDS Intake System with Push Floor Silo
An automated solution where wood chips are received in a moving floor trailer into one or more Saxlund SAX-TDS docking stations. The material is unloaded and fed via a screening system into one or more Push Floor storage bunkers, which feed the boiler on demand. The storage bunkers are typically sized to provide 3 – 5 days of live capacity depending on client requirements.
  • SAX-TDS Intake System with Saxlund Rotary TubeFeeder
An automated solution where wood chips are received in a moving floor trailer into one or more Saxlund SAX-TDS docking stations. The material is unloaded and fed via a screening system into one or more storage silos, which are discharged by Rotary TubeFeeders®. These feed the boiler on demand. The storage silos are typically sized to provide 3 – 5 days of live capacity depending on client requirements.
  • SAX-TDS Intake System with Saxlund Linear TubeFeeder
An automated solution where wood chips are received in a moving floor trailer into one or more Saxlund SAX-TDS docking stations. The material is unloaded and fed via a screening system into an A-Frame storage building which is fitted with one or more linear TubeFeeders®. The TubeFeeders® discharge the fuel to feed the boiler on demand. A-Frame storage buildings are typically sized to provide 3 – 5 days of live capacity depending on client requirements.

Typical Live Storage
