New sewage sludge incineration plant in Ghent - Installation Phase Initiated

Delivery of sludge handling equipment as robust conveying units, foreign object separators and the reliable boiler feeding system

We are pleased to announce that the sludge handling equipment we delivered to Belgium in November has now entered the installation phase. With assembly officially underway on site, the project is moving from delivery to realization. This milestone marks a significant step toward bringing the facility into operation and highlights the steady progress of this important environmental infrastructure project.

The sludge incineration plant delivered to the Belgian region of Flanders. represents an important step in expanding sustainable waste treatment infrastructure in the region. The project was initiated to provide a reliable and environmentally responsible solution for sewage sludge disposal, contributing to long-term resource efficiency and regulatory compliance. Following the successful completion of manufacturing, factory acceptance testing, and on-time delivery to site, the project has now entered the installation phase.

Mechanical assembly activities have officially commenced, including the positioning of key components and the preparation of structural and process interfaces. Site coordination with local partners and contractors has been established to ensure smooth execution of the installation works. The project is currently progressing in line with the overall schedule.

With delivery completed and installation underway, a major milestone has been achieved. The focus in the coming weeks will be on continuing mechanical installation, followed by electrical integration and system commissioning preparations. Once fully operational, the plant will contribute to reducing landfill volumes and enabling energy recovery from sludge treatment, supporting broader sustainability and environmental objectives.
